SIVI message 7 (00551): Balance adjustments (VB-PUO)

In Release 2026 message 7 reported the net purchases, sales and switches at cohort-pool level to the pool administrator. In Release 2027 the message has been discontinued: net steering information runs through message 10 (Control information investment pools) and the unit administration through messages 5, 6 and 13.

Rules and consistency checks

Discontinued as of Release 2027 (GitHub issues #99, #119 and #121). Do not send this message to a receiver on Release 2027.
Chains still on Release 2026 can keep using the message as long as that release is supported (three releases concurrently).

Pitfalls

Schema version 001.05 in commonFunctional.afdDefinitionVersion combined with message 7 is wrong by definition: the message does not exist in 001.05.

Errors and fixes

Discontinued message (7, 8, 9, 11 or 12) sent under Release 2027The receiver on Release 2027 does not know the message type: 404 on the endpoint or a rejection on afdDefinitionName.

Frequently asked questions

What replaces message 7 in Release 2027?

Nothing one-to-one. The net buy and sell requirement per investment pool goes via message 10 from the PUO or BA to the fiduciary; the cohort-pool layer has been removed from the standard.
