The messages of the VB-PUO standard

Solidarity premium arrangement (SPR)
1. Capital0001a
With message 1 the PUO reports the total pension capital at the start of the period: per pension scheme and per cohort (age cohort or reserve cohort).

2. Cashflow0001b
Message 2 reports the cash flows of the period: contributions and incoming value transfers (inflow), benefit payments and outgoing transfers (outflow) and shifts between cohorts.

3. Pension projection0001c
Message 3 contains the projected future pension payments per cohort and per payment date, plus the amounts weighted by the hedging percentage.

4. Return on investment00002
Message 4 brings the investment result of the period back to pension administration: opening and closing value, net flows and return per investment portfolio, in portfolio currency and as a percentage.

5. Trade instruction00541
With the trade instruction the PUO places net buy and sell orders at the highest fund level: participant mutations have already been translated into net transactions per investment fund.

6. Order confirmation00542
The order confirmation reports execution back: which order was executed at what price and in what quantity.

10. Control information investment pools00553
Message 10 tells the fiduciary manager per investment pool what has to be bought or sold net as a result of the mutations in the participant administration: the participation values and the estimated cash effect.

13. Value information investment pool00555b
Message 13 delivers the value of each investment pool: the (preliminary) unit value, the number of units and the total value, plus the value of the mutated units.

14. Payment information00556
Message 14 contains the payment instructions for withdrawals: which amount, in which currency, to which account (IBAN and BIC of the creditor) and with which value date.

15. Corporate actions00557
Message 15 is new in Release 2027 and reports corporate actions on investment products that have been processed in the asset administration but are not automatically visible in the PUO's systems: cash dividend, stock dividend, product changes and rebates.

In Release 2026 message 8 served to reconcile positions per investment pool between the leading investment administration and the fiduciary's shadow administration.

In Release 2026 message 9 delivered preliminary unit values to the PUO so that the PUO, as administrator of the cohort pools, could reconcile unit holdings.

In Release 2026 message 11 reported the rebalancing transactions that brought cohorts back to their policy allocation.
