SPR versus FPR: which data flows and messages

The choice for a solidarity or flexible premium arrangement determines which messages a fund needs: four in the SPR, six in the FPR (plus the SPR messages for collective flows).

SPR

Messages 1 (capital), 2 (cashflow), 3 (pension projection) from PUO to fiduciary and investment administrator; message 4 (return information) back. Monthly; the cohort is the unit.

FPR

Model 1: messages 5 and 6 (orders). Model 2: in addition 10 (control information), 13 (value information), 14 (payment information) and 15 (corporate actions) in a T-4/T/T+3 cycle around investment pools and units. Collective flows via the SPR messages.

Our advice

SPR chains are mature in 2026; FPR chains arrive in 2027, when most PUOs bring their FPR systems live.
