Release 2026 versus Release 2027: impact per role
Release 2027 (pre-release 17 July 2026, final since 12 October 2026, in use from 1 January 2027) is the biggest change since the first publication. What does it mean per role?
PUO
New schema version 001.05 and draft 2020-12 in all messages, with afdDefinitionName as a fixed value (the schema file name); in message 2 netAmount and netDate per cohort and at every other cashflow level; in message 3 the FPR route per investment portfolio where used; switchfrom/switchto in message 5; receive and process message 15; phase out messages 7 and 9.
Investment administrator and custodian
Send messages 10 and 14: according to the final manual the BA does so, now that the ACB role has been discontinued (issue #142). Message 10 without cohort-pool layer, message 13 with simplified NAV, message 14 with 1 to 999 payments per scheme; receive trade instructions (5) and confirm them with message 6; send message 15 where the set-up requires it; phase out messages 8 and 12.
Fiduciary
Message 11 disappears: organise rebalancing and tolerance monitoring outside the standard; receive messages 10 and 14 in the new form, from the investment administrator.
