Message 1 Capital: opening capital per scheme and cohort
At the start of the period the PUO sends the total pension capital per scheme, broken down into cohorts. Fiduciary and investment administrator use it as the opening position for policy and reconciliation.
Steps
- PreparationPUODetermine startAmount per cohort at the valuation date (reportingPeriod.startDate); flag reserve cohorts with reserveIndicator and reserveType. With reserveIndicator = true, reserveType is mandatory (consistency check, manual section 6.3). 0001a
- AssemblyPUOFill pension.scheme.startAmount with the pension capital of the scheme at the same valuation date as the cohort amounts, so that the receiver can reconcile; optionally add investment.portfolio with startExposureAmount or startExposurePercentage per portfolio. 0001a
- SendingPUO → FM and BAPOST to each receiver's endpoint with an OAuth 2.0 token (x-api-key and x-jws-signature are optional); chunking for large messages. 0001a
- ReceiptFM and BA → PUOSchema validation; if desired a total calculation over the cohorts next to the scheme total, when the parties have agreed to it; feedback message with statusType 8 (accepted) or 0 (rejected). feedback
Rules and consistency checks
- Empty cohorts: send 0 or omit (manual section 6.3), one convention per chain. This also applies to reserves; an omitted reserve does not by itself mean 0. The standard knows no null: a field has a value or is left out (issue #100).
- startAge and endAge are integers; the unit (years or months) is a chain agreement.
