Error discovered after acceptance: the correction protocol
Symptom
An accepted and processed message turns out to be wrong in content (wrong amount, wrong cohort).
Cause
Errors in the source or the assembly that the schema and consistency checks do not catch.
Fix
Once-accepted messages are not corrected unilaterally: consult the receiver, then send a correction message with a new messageId, message function 54 and originalMessageId.
